Librarians are pretty much at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to professional salaries. I've often been tempted to take on a second career just to make ends meet. With all of the vice that goes on in our library I've seriously contemplated making my own series of thematic porn videos called "Sex in the Stacks".
We've already got the local 'talent' who would probably work for $20 a pop just to feed their drug habit. Plus there is the kid who works in circulation that is into amateur film making and the guy in Youth services who is a musician. That's soundtrack and videography covered. We've got plenty of english lit majors on staff who could knock out a script all we need is a good director.
